This hotel offers convenience and comfort. It's become my go-to hotel when visiting Marin. The staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean. I enjoy the wine reception and snacks. The breakfast is high-quality, with organic coffee available at all times -- on par with Marin standards. It's just a quick walk from the Marin Airporter, which is great if you don't have a car.

Great customer service, nice rooms, great views, and very good location. Hotel also has happy hour where cheeses, fruits, cookies and wines are available. Also great hot breakfast in the morning, though wish they serve before 7am.

I loved my visit at the acqua hotel. Everything I needed was there. 24 hour tea. A wine and cheese happy hour, and an amazing breakfast, all included in the price. Loved the setting being on the water. Walking to Piatti for dinner was an added bonus. A great escape. The staff were all exceptional.

This was one of the best staycation experiences our family has ever had. We’re a family of four—my wife and I, plus our two daughters—and we stayed at Acqua Hotel over the MLK long weekend. From the moment we checked in, the team made us feel genuinely welcomed: sharing great neighborhood tips, making friendly conversation, and consistently checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. That sincere, thoughtful care made the whole stay feel extra special. The location is beautiful. Morning walks along the water are a must, and if you visit on a warmer day, you honestly don’t need to go anywhere—it’s just that peaceful and scenic outside. Acqua also adds a ton of value with the little touches: complimentary breakfast, an evening wine hour (5–7pm), and warm freshly baked cookies at 7pm. The glasshouse with the fireplace is another highlight—cozy, photogenic, and the perfect spot to unwind. A special shoutout to the front desk staff, especially one team member (I sadly forgot his name; he’s of Mexican origin). He went out of his way multiple times to make sure our stay was smooth and memorable—always greeting us with a bright smile, offering helpful suggestions, and bringing genuine warmth to every interaction with our whole family. Overall, Acqua Hotel didn’t just earn happy guests in us—they earned true patrons. My girls and I are already talking about making it an annual family tradition to visit Acqua hotel to unwind.

I had an exceptional experience at Acqua Hotel, thanks to the outstanding operations manager, Randy A. Due to a mold-related illness, I am extremely sensitive to noise and environmental factors. Randy went far beyond what is typically expected to ensure my stay was comfortable, quiet, and supportive of my health. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care for guest well-being were truly remarkable. What stood out most was Randy’s clear pride in his work and his deep commitment to taking care of people. He didn’t just manage logistics — he anticipated needs, followed through thoughtfully, and made it abundantly clear that guest comfort genuinely matters to him. That level of professionalism and integrity is rare. As a medical provider and a veteran, I’ve spent my career around people who understand the importance of having one another’s back. You don’t always find that kind of camaraderie or accountability in the hospitality industry — but Randy embodies it fully. He operates with a sense of responsibility, respect, and leadership that instantly builds trust. I have stayed in hotels all over the world, and I can confidently say that Randy is one of the most impressive managers I’ve ever encountered. While I would highly recommend Acqua Hotel to anyone, this review is, more than anything, a testament to Randy’s character and dedication. He is a true asset to the hotel and sets a standard others should aspire to. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Checked into our room. It was ok. Pretty small. We brought our doggies with us but couldn't have them hang out outside on the patio since it wasn't closed off. Other than that, the service here was excellent! They provided complimentary breakfast which was phenomenal! Everything was fresh & delicious. They also provided complimentary wine & cheese with fruit. Yummy! There is also a beautiful trail for our furry babies to walk along & it was gorgeous esp at sunset. The front desk staff were very welcoming & even went out of their way to accommodate our fur babies by providing yummy treats & toys for them to play with. Overall, not too bad of a place to stay at esp if you only plan on staying here for a few days.

We have been traveling with our Corgi and stayed in this hotel last summer. It is the best hotel we stayed especially for the money. People at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. It has great happy hour, good wine, cheese and fresh fruit. The breakfast is top notch. They all come with the room. The view is beautiful. The broad walkway behind the hotel leads to a beautiful Italian restaurant. The hotel is an easy drive to downtown San Francisco. If we come this way again, we will definitely stay here again.
